Prayers for the New Year

Hello, tender friends!

This is the prayer that came to me on the night of New Year’s Eve. This was just before falling asleep at 8:30 pm after a cup of chamomile tea, because that’s how I party on New Year’s.

Here it is:

May the plans of the enemy on your life be cancelled. (The Lord seemed to want me to pray this over Anthony a lot.)

Lord, cast down the fiery darts being aimed and shot. (This was also for Anthony).

May the fire of the Lord fall. (At first I thought this was for the Lord’s presence, but then I also got that it’s for exposure of corruption.)

Lord, unleash your LEGIONS OF ANGELS. (I think this is for everyone).

I’m sharing in case any of these are applicable for anyone else. I’m also 20 hours in to my first fast of the year. I’m not getting any particular revelation right now, but I have discovered that sardines, avocado and red onion make an amazing last meal before a 24-hour fast. I’ll snag a picture for my next post!

Happy 2026, friends! I hope it has been blessed so far and that the blessings continue.

Thank you for stopping by, and thank you for sharing!

Sorry I misspelled your name. Autocorrect is a pain sometimes.

I frequently pray for lies to be exposed and truth to shine with clarity. I like your prayer too, Stacey, that the fire of the Lord may fall to expose corruption. Together we can pray, Restore us (as a country) to yourself, O LORD, that we may be restored! Renew our days as of old” (Lamentations 5:21 ESV).
