I’m LOVING My Toe Separators

Hello, tender friends!

I decided to go barefoot for this photo because my toes are feeling oh so free.

For just $5, I’ve got myself a nightly mini massage!

I’ve begun using my toe separators. Anthony also bought a pair, and we put them on for about a half hour each evening after we put Cubby to bed. After 5 to 10 minutes, my feet start to feel more relaxed, like something unwinding

I’ve never been able to get the ideal toe separation that so many yoga practitioners recommend trying to achieve. I also tend to have tight hips, and a lot of somatic practitioners say there’s a connection between the hips and the toes. They say the hips hold emotional tension, yada yada, so maybe I’ll experience some emotional unwinding also. Other people say the emotional tension in the hips thing isn’t true, and I haven’t investigated it, so I’m open to any thoughts anyone may have!

I also bought myself a pair of wide-toe shoes. It turns out that narrow shoes, like so many other features of modern life, work against how we were designed biologically. And it makes sense, doesn’t it? Adam and Eve weren’t wearing any shoes in the garden.

Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, but I’ve decided that life is too short for squished toes. Our feet support us all day long, and I think it’s time to treat them a little bit better.

So that’s my takeaway for today: toe separators and wide-toe shoes are part of my best life! They get me one step closer to going back to the garden.

Okay, tender friends, thank you for stopping by, and thank you for sharing!

Yes, good alignment reduces strain on muscles and joints and enhances our well-being! I’m in the club that emotions are held in the hip! Toe yoga since my foot injury is still a challenge to me – but I’m working on it! And yes, “wide-toe shoes are part of my best life” now too!
