Hello, tender friends!
The holidays can be a difficult time if you’re trying to protect your kids from white flour, white sugar and general American excesses. But we did it! I hope this can help some other moms planning for future holidays.βThe colloidal silver and fire cider section can really help you minimize doctor’s visits as cold/flu season gets into full swing!

I strive to ensure that Cub is getting equivalent experiences to other kids, many of whom eat stockings full of candy each Christmas morning. My solution was to fill his stocking with old-fashioned oranges and organic popcorn that was seasoned with nothing but salt. You see the stocking on the floor because it stocking was too heavy to hang up above the fireplace anymore, but he got the excitement of having a stocking full of treats without any sugar. This is a mom win for me!

100% of his toys were educational. He got puzzles to practice his letters and numbers, workbooks to practice his penmanship, and a children’s keyboard piano to indulge his musical inclinations. He loves it all!

Those pictures are of one of the Christmas dinner side dishes. It’s basically the British equivalent of fire cider. (If you’ve never drunk fire cider when you have a cold or flu, I highly recommend it! I never get sick as long as I stay on top of drinking my fire cider!)
I simmered apple cider vinegar with garlic, ginger, onion, turmeric, jalapeno pepper, black pepper, etc. This formed the brine for hard boiled eggs, which we left inside the brine for one week before consuming. You couldn’t come up with a healthier Christmas side dish than this! It feels good to be able to enjoy the holidays without hitting the pause button on healing. (If you make this, save the bring to drink after you’ve eaten the eggs).

That picture is of My Little Boo boo’s eye swollen shut from pink eye, which he acquired the last day that church was open before the holiday weekend. Thank God for natural remedies! We were able to heal it up using colloidal silver and avoided a trip to the pediatrician. (Also, just to be clear, I’m being very literal when I say thank God. I am so grateful that God has shown us ways to heal that are natural and non-toxic over the past years).

For our Christmas entertainment, we visited a local hotel which hosts a Christmas tree decorating competition each year. The hotel itself is a beautiful example of Tudor architecture, and you feel like you’re momentarily transported to Europe as you walk in the courtyard and inside. I could feel my energy lifting surrounded by such opulence and beauty!

We even heard Santa’s jingle bells while outside on this sleigh. Cub kept looking for reindeer in the sky. β€οΈ
Ok, that’s all for today, tender friends! I’ll be sharing my healthy birthday self-care celebration on Monday. Thank you so much for stopping by! Share a Christmas tradition/memory in the comments if you’re so inclined.
