Hello tender friends!
A quick reminder that my little boo boo and I are not bots!

Ok , glad that’s out of the way. Tis the season for cookies? Cakes? Hot chocolate?

Well, not over here, as you can imagine. Of course that photo looks charming, but alas, it’s not part of my holiday season (and that’s ok).
My seasonal indulgences this time of year tend to be in the form of heavy meat consumption. When the weather cools, I often joke that I could eat an entire cow.

My words aren’t far off though. As soon as the weather turns cold, I get noticeably hungrier and can’t help but to eat more meat and cheese. My body craves calories to sustain the cold.
But I balance this out with my (almost) nightly salad!

And for dressing, I use apple cider vinegar with a dash of olive oil and a drizzle of raw honey. (Raw honey contains enzymes that are lost when it is processed). It’s amazing! You can enjoy your crispy refreshing salad and detox from the veggies and apple cider vinegar at the same time!

The first few times I used apple cider vinegar I dressing, I just felt neutral towards it. But after a few times, my taste buds adapted, and now it’s all I want.
I don’t live a life of deprivation – I genuinely relish my nightly salad. And I don’t miss bottled dressing (which is typically full of garbage) at all. I love getting a double healing detox this way-the cool crisp of lettuce crunching and the tangy acv balanced by the sweetness of the honey.
As the holiday season continues, may this double detox help you through! Blessings to all of you as we prepare to celebrate the technically inaccurate day of Jesus’s birth!
Thank you for stopping by, and thank you to the new friends!
