How the Soccer Mom Look Helps Me Heal

Hello, tender friends!

Anthony likes to make fun of this sun visor. But you know what? It’s totally worth him saying, “Wow you’re really embracing the middle-aged soccer mom look” for the health benefits..

I used to wear sun hats that fully covered my head, but I have switched them out in favor of letting sunlight hit my hair directly. Because this, tender friends, is how I get God closer to my brain. It’s one of the ways that God wired us to connect with him and to experience his healing.

We know that God is light (1 John 1:5). But like anything else in the Bible, I think this statement has as many layers of meaning as a disco ball does facets, and is true in a literal sense. Jehovah-Rapha, as literal light, stimulates our bodies to function optimally.

Here’s how it works: Our cells are predominantly water. Water actually has a structure, and structured water is one of the things that is also restorative, but that topic is better suited for a separate post. For now, let’s just focus on the fact that water has a healing structure that is disrupted by modern plumbing. (Structured water is available through certain devices, some of which are actually very inexpensive, and through naturally occurring water such as in streams).

When sunlight hits our cells, it structures the water inside of them as God intended. This enables our mitochondria to function properly. As we all learned in high school, the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. It’s responsible for our overall energy levels and part of the secret to life.

The more that your mitochondria are stimulated, the more energy you have to do everything, including heal and chase the dreams that God has planted in your heart.

So while God works on renewing my mind, I’m going to let him get in there directly and remove that barrier of the sun hat. I’ll take all the renewal that I can get.

Ok, that’s all for today, but I will expand on this idea with a little more scientific evidence of God’s goodness on Monday’s post next week. I’m so excited about it that it’s hard not to release it on Thursday. But I’m trying to stick to when I say I will be releasing content, so I’ll share my food post on Thursday as I said I would. It’s Swiss Chard season, my friends, and I’m loving it so far!

Oh, and that’s a picture of me and Cub after he handed me his wind-up toy chick, which is in my hand, and told me he wants to go into the coop to pet the real chickens.

Oh, and here’s a picture of me actually looking at the camera after picking suckers off tomato plants, only because it feels strange to post a series of pictures not looking at the camera. Anthony thinks I’m not “doing enough outside work” because I look pale. HAHAHA! I think it’s just his camera.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a great day!

Oh, and if you feel like leaving a comment, can someone please tell Anthony that 37 is not middle-aged!? I keep telling him that I have a good number of years before I consider myself middle-aged and would appreciate an “AMEN!” on this if you’re so inclined. And even if he is perhaps middle-aged at 40, my love will always be young at heart.

Thank you for sharing!

If 37 is middle aged, then what is my 62? Ancient? Haha You look great, don’t listen to him. ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m impressed with your science knowledge and ability to equate it to God! โค Have a good evening.

LOL! Has been calling my dad an old man ever since we were dating, even to my dad’s face. It is harmless and he doesn’t mean anything by it, but he grew up in a way that made dying young seem normal.

I have always loved science, but the ability to equate it to God they gift that God has given me. I have been meaning to blog about that at some point!

The garden is looking great! Born in 1954, I regularly remind my wife that I am just a lad, and I have a daughter older than your 37. Also, your tutorial about water reminded me of Revelation 8:1-2 And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Just a lad, yes! I always tell my husband that if we make it to live to 120, I’m still in the first third of my life!

I absolutely love how you related that to the verse of Revelation. It’s not a verse that I have really meditated on, but now I need to look into it more deeply.

Oh, and I definitely can’t take credit for the heavy lifting in the garden! I do my part, but my husband gets the credit for the muscle and dedication. We are organic gardeners, so he literally kills bugs by hand sometimes at night until 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. I’m asleep at that time!

You are not middle-aged. It begins at 40 to 60 in my opinion.
I remember when we celebrated our 25th anniversary years ago, my husband said, โ€œCan you imagine another 25 years? Weโ€™ll be old!โ€ I replied, โ€œNo, youโ€™ll be oldโ€ฆIโ€™ll be five years younger.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
We just celebrated our 44th anniversary in Feb. Itโ€™s getting close and Iโ€™m grateful for every year!
    And your garden looks amazing.

I totally agree with the 40-60 numbers! He just grew up in an area where dying unnaturally young was considered normal.

Anthony says the same things about being “old.” Funny thing is that I never feel old. I keep waiting for this moment that I’ll feel mature and wise, and it never actually arrives.

And happy belated 44th anniversary! I always tell Anthony that I plan on being married and still dancing at our 75th wedding anniversary! I’ll be 105 and he’ll be 108. Totally doable in my opinion.

You tell Anthony I said 37 is far from middle age…just will have to wait until you get to 54 like me before you acquire that title ๐Ÿคฃ.

Thank you for the support! You look way younger than 54, btw! When I looked at your pictures I thought we were the same age.

Oh my, you may not be middle age, but I think you do have the eyesight of a middle-aged woman after all ๐Ÿคฃ. Thanks for the compliment my dear๐Ÿ˜Š.

Lol, seriously! Maybe I’m just bad at determining people’s ages or something. I regularly meet women 15 years younger than me and assume that we’re the same age until they tell me otherwise! Everyone looks 30 something to me these days.

As we get older it gets easier to tell because we use ourselves as a milestone to judge where people are compared to where we are or were ๐Ÿ˜Š.

37 is still very young! Young enough to be my daughter! You’re just a kid. And I have heard of structured water. In addition to what you describe, it also has an effect on preventing cancer. And the importance of light you describe also has to do with our DNA, as those spiral-shaped molecules actually act as receivers/transmitters to light and the radio waves given off by the natural world. The book, DNA: Pirates of the Sacred Spiral talks a great deal about this. The author, Leonard Horowitz, is a Christian and a research scientist. He says that our DNA is made to hear the symphony love song God plays to us through His creation. I did a 26 part synopsis of his book a few years ago. Fascinating stuff! It all is right in line with what you wrote about here. Wow! Young, pretty, and extremely intelligent! Tell your husband he needs to show a little more appreciation! ๐Ÿ˜‚

It’s amazing how much free health care God has provided for us! Yes, that book sounds fascinating.

As for your accolades, you’re too kind. But I’m totally taking a screenshot of that part of your comment to send to him! Haha!
