Hello tender friends!
Imagine if getting a massage- a relaxing, enjoyable massage- could be part of your healing from cancer. It’s such a contradiction to the grueling methods we typically imagine, but that was part of how my mom beat cancer.
Cancer does not have to be a death sentence. Multiple healing modalities exist that can heal any given disease, and knowing that so many healing modalities exist empowers you to make the best choices for your body. This is true for every disease, but today I’ll primarily be talking about cancer.
You already know that I believe hope is never false, and I have heard countless stories of people beating the odds. My mom is now 70 years old, and more or less living her best life. I’m certain she would be either extremely ill or else dead if she hadn’t received the non-toxic treatment she received in Germany. None of the information shared here is sponsored, so you can be sure there’s no hidden agenda here, just pure hope!

Here are the facts about my own mom:
- My mom was diagnosed with clear-cell ovarian cancer in 2014. I got the call from my dad the last day before my Christmas break was to begin. The following day, I started researching alternative treatments to chemo/radiation that the oncologist recommended she begin in 48 hours.
- I found an alternative treatment clinic in Brannenberg, Germany, among dozens of other non-toxic treatment options. I didn’t tell my family yet, as I wanted to continue researching. (American alternative clinics were so expensive that treatment in the United States wasn’t possible) .
- My dad emailed me about the same clinic I’d found in Brannenberg, Germany. I took this as a confirmation that the clinic was where God knew she would heal, and we started planning for my parents to go abroad.
- My mom received treatment at a clinic in Brannenberg, Germany 4 months after her initial diagnosis. All treatment was completely non-toxic. She never participated in any of the chemo or radiation the the oncologist had urged her to begin four months earlier.
- My mom currently has lower cancer markers than someone who has never actually been diagnosed with cancer.
- My mom was terrified and full of despair pretty much the whole time leading up to going to Germany. Because of the overwhelm, she was scared of going to Germany even though she’d been there before. That was just part of the journey for her.

In addition to receiving non-toxic treatment, she also received exclusively organic foods from the local farm and no sweeteners except limited amounts of honey during treatment. This was part of the healing package she chose at the clinic.
Here’s what her treatment consisted of, to the best of her memory 8 years later:
OncoTherm Hyperthermia, localized, 1 hour/day every day for 3 weeks. This is process of heating up your cells, because cancer cells are fragile and die off at high heat while healthy cells are left unharmed. So this treatment will only kill off the bad cells.
Ozone blood infusions. A pint of blood is withdrawn, infused with ozone and then re-infused via i.v.
Vitamin C, Selenium, Artemissinin infusions, every day
Mistletoe injections every other day
Thymus injections, every other day
magnetic field therapy
Liver detox every day
Reflexology and Massage every day
Numerous oral supplements, the names of which she has forgotten over the years. Many were standard for every patient while others were individualized, and included homeopathy. (Like my friend Amanda used as described here).
Bio-mat with oxygen (canula) 1 hour every day
While I wish some of the details we both once knew so well were clearer in our memories, the truth is that the forgetting is a blessing. There was a time that I was so immersed in studying cancer that I could rattle off statistics like I was an oncologist myself. It’s a relief to have my mind full of other things now.
If you’re not interested in clear-cell ovarian cancer but want to hear more about people who have beat other types of cancer/other disease, I recommend visiting radicalremission.com. If you click on “Find Stories,” you can put your cancer type (or that of a loved one) in the search bar and read healing testimonies with a description of treatment modalities that have worked.
Finally, this book by Chris Wark, who beat cancer through nutrition, has several delicious recipes in it:

While I don’t follow all of his dietary principles because I healed using different foods, his healing is inspirational, and the recipes really are satisfying.
Ok, that’s all for now. Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments, and I’ll either get back to you on there or make another post!

For those of you who are new, thank you! To plan your readership, I’ll be sharing a special Monday motivation post next week, and then some of what I’ve been up to in the kitchen on Thursday. It’s been a while, and I really miss sharing culinary discoveries!
