5/10 Tips to Rehabilitate Your Adrenals

Hello tender friends! I mentioned the fact that I suffered from struggling adrenals in a recent post and wanted to share some information on how to rehabilitate your adrenals.

Because my husband says my posts are a bit long, this is the first half, and I’ll release the second half in Thursday.

Why is knowing how to heal your adrnals necessary if we’re counting on God for a miracle?

Make no mistake that God can heal any thing in any way He chooses, but in my case, God those not to heal my adrenals overnight.

One of the things I have learned from God not healing me overnight is ways that we participate with God in creating miracles. People have healed from stage 4 cancer using nothing other than meditation. Women, including a friend of mine who will be featured next week, have lost significant weight and enjoyed renewed health and vigor using nothing other than homeopathy.

The miracles are out there, and learning how to follow divinely inspired directions for taking care of your body can be part of that healing. So let’s talk about adrenals.

Adrenal fatigue is not an “officially accepted diagnosis” by the medical community. But having experienced it and recovered from it, I wanted to share some things that helped me.

If you have had any sort of prolonged stress, you likely have some level of adrenal fatigue, and repairing your adrenals is necessary for healing. Virtually everyone has experienced at least a few of the stressors below. What do you identify with on the chart?

Fear and emotional stress caused lack of sleep and lack of relaxation for me. Oh, and unwanted employment? I used to actually wish I could somehow get fired on an almost daily basis before I left my job to raise Cub.

Thankfully God made our bodies resilient.

Ok, so here are my tips from my actual lived experience.

1) Hoard your sleep. If you spent years stressed about work and trying to squeeze more productivity out of yourself, this will feel unnatural. But it is necessary. I often had to remind myself that God himself mandated rest to sort of feel comfortable resting. Similar to the feeling of not “deserving” to take up space or consume food I have discussed in the past, I felt like I didn’t “deserve” to rest. (This is still a struggle for me, as the paid writing that I do since leaving my full-time job is just a hobby income. I never feel like I’m contributing enough).

2) Avoid all caffeine. I spent two years avoiding even low-caffeine teas while rehabbing my adrenals. I love tea, so that was one of my harder-to-make sacrifices.

3) Consider trying some organic holy basil and ashwaganda, adaptogenic herbs. Adaptogens which help your body adapt to mental stress. I could feel these herbs helping me after just a few doses.

4) Practice alternate nostril breathing to balance your hormones. When I say that my hormones were messed up, I mean it it. I would often go 4 months or more without having a period because of work-related stress. This breathing exercise was so powerful for me that it actually caused me to have breakthrough bleeding. There are a ton of variations of this exercise, but the picture below is what I do for four seconds on each inhalation and exhalation.

5) Replace your depleted B-vitamins. This is highly bio individual as people absorb different vitamins from different sources better or worse than others because of their unique chemistry. But taking organic bee propolis and organic bee pollen were and are key for me. Stress eats up your b-vitamins, and I felt an incredible surge of energy when I started taking bee propolis and bee pollen. The greater your deficiency, the greater boost you will experience when you correct the deficiency.

Ok, the remaining 5 will be on the next post. Thank you for stopping by, tender friends! Stay blessed!

Thank you those of you who are new this week! To plan your readership, I will include the remaining tips for healing adrenals later this week. Next week I will feature the healing experience of my friend and share some of the work Jehovah Jireh has been doing in our lives.

Ok, off to finish dinner for my little prince! See you Thursday!

I don’t know what it is today but 20 years ago, men only read, on average, the first 14 words of a communication to decide if they would read further. Speak your heart and they will listen further.

Thank you for reading any amount of words, Don! I have prayed that God will help me deliver messages that people need.

I did a bit of research on how people read differently online before I started blogging and had to abandon the academic style I was used to. I’m still working on that each week!
