Hello, tender friends!

I’m a sucker for optimism. Despite the unlikeliness of it all, I keep travel writing on my “maybe, hopefully someday I can do that” list.
This piece isn’t travel writing, and the conventions are vastly different, but my optimistic tendencies have the gears of my mind turning as always. Maybe, hopefully someday this piece-which highlights features of the region I live in that made transplants want to move here-will act as a segue to travel writing.
The article contains some travel writing elements in the sense that I’m highlighting local treasures that make the location alluring for visitors.
So here’s the article: https://theroanoker.com/magazine/features/why-transplants-love-our-region/
And here’s to hoping that maybe, hopefully someday, I’ll be traveling the world with Jacob and our future children, and getting paid to write about it.
A girl can dream, right? Dream and pray, and pray, and pray.
Ok, tender friends , thank you for stopping by, and thank you for sharing!
