Hello, tender friends!
Please help me! I can’t believe it’s already been almost a year of blogging. I got the email about this domain name renewing last week, and I’m thinking about renaming this blog. I’d love to hear your thoughts about this.
Here are two ideas I have with a brief explanation, but I’m totally open to more:
- Beauty from ashes- based on Isaiah 61:3. I was thinking primarily of physical healing because of what God did for me. But everyone finds their life in ashes at one point or another, so I thought it had a broad application.

Sky Glitter- based on Isaiah 40:26 and many other verses. I’ve always had an affinity for the night sky, as most people do, and many of my fondest memories hiking, snowboarding and doing other things have been outside beneath a starry night away from from light pollution.
Does such starry sky exist anywhere anymore? My brother and I frequently lament that it’s been years since we’ve seen a truly star-studded sky. How far does one have to travel to find this nowadays? I feel like one of my blog friends told me the answer to this question at some point, but I’ve forgotten!

So my first question is do you like either of those names better than tea and tenderness?
Another thing that would help me out is if you told me how you perceive my writing tone/strengths. I read this in a craft book recently: that rather than define your own writing style, it can provide more clarity to ask how other people perceive it and then to try to develop what other people perceive as your strengths instead of determining them for yourself.
Thematically, I’m planning on continuing more or less how I have been. While my wordpress gets significantly more activity when I post keto/paleo recipes, I never intended to do that exclusively. I intend to continue writing about the variety of topics I have for the last ten months/topics as I feel led by the Lord. Besides, there are so many people who do food posts with much nicer photography that I think it’s silly to try to compete.

(My little Boo Boo had a double birthday party this weekend for his friends- and yes, this is your weekly reminder that I’m a real human. Those are actually trout ponds behind us because our friends who hosted the parties are trout farmers. I’ll get a better pic one day!)
Ok, that’s all for now. Please know that I’m more than happy to return the favor in kind if you want similar feedback on your blog. Please just let me know!
Thank you for stopping by! I’ll be sharing a post on my garden reflections in the style of those old Mastercard commercials on Thursday. I’m sort of nostalgic as the summer season winds down.
Thank you for sharing!
